I beveled and sanded down 2 sheets of plexiglass this afternoon. It’s possible I may have to experiment with the sanded surface, which provides a tooth for the ink to sit upon. In the past I’ve had difficulty when the surface was too greasy and the ink wasn’t able to adhere to the surface as consistently.
The other aspect I’d like to experiment with is perhaps mixing in other substances into the ink to create different visual qualities. I’m thinking about different kinds of soap, oil, rubbing alcohol, salt, etc. to see if I’m able to expand my range of mark making with the ink.
