Tonight I selected two drawings that I’ll be bringing to my framer tomorrow. I’ll be submitting both pieces to the juried exhibition at the Danforth Museum in April.
I eventually settled on these two drawings below. I wanted to choose two pieces that would not only stand on their own, but that would show both the diversity and similarities in this series. For me, this meant choosing one piece that had a more tranquil approach to the water and one that depicted the more active images that I’ve been creating recently. I think these two pieces reflect well the different emotional moods I’ve been exploring, as well as the different visual effects that I’ve been trying to create.
