In addition to teaching courses at Wellesley College and at RISD, I am also the Director of the Jewett Art Gallery, the teaching gallery of the Art Department at Wellesley College. The gallery hosts approximately seven exhibits during the academic year which are generated by faculty on campus for teaching purposes and for exhibits of student work.
I’m pleased to announce the launch of a new site and blog for the Jewett Art Gallery. This blog will provide multiple opportunities as a reference point and forum for both the Wellesley College community and the public. The blog will aim to provide insight and background on the process of running an art gallery: installing shows, opening receptions, gallery talks, and much more. At the same time, another goal will be to stimulate discussion and dialogue related to ideas, art works, and artists in our exhibitions. Visit the new blog here, and join our discussion!
